Women.Power.Leadership – Paths to Gender Equality Worldwide
Zarget Group: Students from Hesse
As part of a three-day seminar titled “All Human Beings Are Equal – Or Are They?”, a workshop was held in cooperation with STUBE Hessen (Weltweit Studieren – Weltweit Verantwortlich, WUS). The event specifically targeted students from Hesse with international backgrounds and focused on the theme Women.Power.Leadership – Paths to Gender Equality Worldwide.
The workshop began with a variety of activities designed to raise awareness of the topic and encourage initial reflection. The roles of women and men in different cultural and social contexts were brought to the forefront, and participants actively exchanged perspectives and shared personal experiences.
A key aim of the seminar was to empower women to move beyond the role of the victim and instead take control of their lives with confidence and agency. Participants critically examined power structures, societal expectations, and their own resources.
One particularly impactful element was the global exchange on approaches to gender equality – from successful models to ongoing challenges in different countries. This global perspective opened up new ways of thinking and encouraged participants to think beyond their immediate environments.
The seminar concluded with a theoretical session that provided expert knowledge on gender equality policies, leadership models, and empowerment. In an open discussion, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and explore answers together with the facilitators.
This seminar once again highlighted: gender equality begins with awareness – and requires spaces for exchange, reflection, and empowerment. Women.Power.Leadership encouraged participants to take responsibility and actively advocate for equality – both locally and globally.
