Education in Yemen Through the Ages

Target Group: Students
As part of the project “Borderless – Global Learning in Vocational Education”, a workshop on the topic “Education in Yemen Through the Ages” took place at BBS Prüm. The event was organized in collaboration with the World University Service (WUS).
The target group consisted of students training in the field of education who wanted to gain a deeper understanding of international education systems. The focus of the workshop was the education system in Yemen, particularly in connection with the colonial era. It was emphasized how historical developments have influenced the current educational situation.
In addition, Yemen was presented as a country with its cultural treasures, landmarks, and unique features. This provided participants with a comprehensive insight into the societal and cultural backgrounds that shape the education system.
The students had the opportunity to ask questions and actively engage in the discussion. At the end of the workshop, potential solutions were developed to contribute to the improvement of the education system in Yemen.
The goal of the workshop was to compare the German and Yemeni education systems while also showcasing the country of Yemen in its diversity.
